Hello hello!! Can you believe it’s already March 31st? Where did the time go? Feels like we were just shouting “Happy New Year!” yesterday, and now—boom—Q1 is over! Time really does fly. I hope March treated you well and that your first quarter was everything you hoped for. If things haven’t quite gone according to plan, or if the year isn’t shaping up the way you envisioned, I have a word of encouragement for you in Ecclesiastes 7:8a– “The end of a thing is better than its beginning.” As long as it’s not the end of the year yet, I promise you that by God’s grace and mercy, you are truly yet to see the best of the year. Your best days are not behind you- they are ahead of you! (Proverbs 4:18). I hope this encourages you to step into the new month, the new quarter, and the rest of the year with fresh hope.
So, moving on to what we’re really here for today. I know you saw the title and thought, Is this a Nike ad? (Spoiler alert: it’s not.) This isn’t about sneakers—it’s about you. 🙂
If you’re someone who likes to plan and reflect, you’re probably doing a Q1 review right now, checking in on the goals you set at the start of the year. Maybe you broke them down by quarter or month (which, by the way, I highly recommend). And if you did, you probably have a pretty good idea of where you stand. But today isn’t about goal-setting strategies. It’s about those things that permanently reside on the back burner- the ones you keep pushing to the future but never make it there.
We all have that one thing we’ve been meaning to do. I’m not just talking about the big things, it could range from as simple as waking up earlier or getting more sleep, to as serious as going back to school or launching a new business. It could also be anything in between, like losing/gaining weight, learning a new skill, learning to cook a new meal or bake new things, learning another language, being more intentional about your relationships, reading your Bible daily, praying longer or preaching the gospel more. There’s a long list of things, but I’m sure you get the point by now.
No matter what it is, if it’s been sitting on the back burner for too long, let me ask you: What’s stopping you? Is it laziness? Procrastination? Lack of resources? Fear? Worrying about what people will say? Take a second and really think about it. Is whatever is holding you back truly more important than the joy, fulfillment, and growth you’ll experience from just doing it?
Maybe God has been nudging you to step out in faith and like Peter you’ve said “at your word Lord.” Guess who got His word and hasn’t launched yet? (wink wink). If God has placed something on your heart—whether it’s a direct instruction or simply a deep desire—it’s worth doing, and it’s worth doing now! (1 Samuel 15:22b)
And here’s something to think about: Your obedience doesn’t just affect you. There are lives connected to your “yes.” There are lives that would be instantly impacted and forever changed by your simple act of Obedience. People you may never meet could be impacted, blessed, or even saved because you chose to follow through. Imagine getting to heaven and realizing that someone didn’t make it there because you hesitated. Or that someone could have lived a more fulfilled life if you had just stepped out when God told you to. That’s a heavy thought, isn’t it?
If you start that business now, imagine how much it could grow in just a few years. If you start learning that skill today, you could be an expert by this time next year. If you start showing up for yourself and your purpose now, you would be a totally different person by December!
I’m praying that Q2 and the rest of this year will be filled with more action—that you’ll step out in obedience every time, and that God will back you up in ways you never imagined. May your obedience bring transformation to your life and the lives of others and yield unimaginable rewards!
Stop waiting for the perfect time—because guess what? It doesn’t exist.
Do it afraid. Do it unsure. Do it with little money. Do it even if you don’t have all the answers.
Just Do It!
Yours in Obedience,

Tiwalade
